tutorial - shrink plastic pins

At the show I had quite a bit of interest in the butterfly pins that I sold with my pincushions. They are super easy to make - really they take a couple of minutes.

Here's what you need - sheet of shrink plastic, decorative punch, some extra long pins and some aluminum foil.

First, preheat your oven to 160 C and punch out your plastic.

Next stick your punched plastic onto your pins. Roll up some aluminum foil and stick your pins in ready for the oven.

Pop your pins in the oven for about a minute. Don't walk away it really only takes a minute.

Then your done!

Thanks for sharing - especially the links for the shrink plastic - I have only ever seen it at craft shows. This would be a great project for my daughter to do during the school holidays.

Thank you so much for this! They are perfect for the mini sewing kits for my girls. I think it would help them find their misplaced pins.

Oh thanks for the tutorial for these - I will have to give them a go. You can also get some from Kazzass (I think that is what they are calling themselves - they were previously known as Crafty Kids)
