We've been doing some Christmas crafting. Button trees inspired from Tiel's and a scrap tree from here. But be warned the button trees take FOREVER and use up a lot of buttons. I hot glued my buttons rather than used pins. They still aren't finished, work came to a halt when we ran out of glue sticks and buttons.
Party outfit - it started with the tank and before I knew their was a twirly skirt. I think it's a little matchy matchy. But she likes it!
A present - I know I'm a bit obsessed with appliquing at the moment. I'm blaming it on the blanket stitch!
We also decided to give the new gocco a whirl. Both kids drew their own designs and printed Christmas cards for their friends at school and kindy.

Oh they look wonderful! I have four of the styrofoam trees awaiting modification, I picked them up last year. I was going to try a button one too, maybe I'll use the smallest one so as to not drain my supply too much? LOL :) I kind of want to try a pompom one too but have visions of that disaster already.
i love that the kids are goccoing. such a great idea. and i love the trees. and the christmas outfit. for sure.

Your trees are so pretty! And Abbey's new party outfit is so cute, too.
and a card for Aunty aswell...
Lovely trees - well worth the effort! I like the outfit and it is definitely not too matchy - the skirt is adorable. I want a gocco!!!
your little one looks absolutely adorable in her twirly skirt and top.
Isn't the gocco great? My kids help me all the time with printing. They love it.
Lovely job on all of them Bin, but those trees look too fiddly for me to try.
I love the skirt and top set. I think the cute colour combination saves it from being too matchy matchy.
Button trees are sweet, but I'm too precious about buttons to use them all up on a one month a year decoration. Perhaps I'm just a tight arse and should buy more buttons!
I love the twirly skirt. And matchy matchy is good every now and then. Just don't do mother-daughter matchy matchy. Must make one of those skirts. Have often admired them.
Love the trees and the outfit! Great to hear the kids enjoyed the gocco as well :)
Great Christmas trees! I love them! I also am happy to see the kids using gocco! I may have to try a button tree - if I can ever find the bag of buttons I bought at WoolFest away back in June! Now where did I put them????
the button tree is so cute! and so is that skirt!
you can get away with 'matchy matchy'when your little!the trees look amazing, the fabric one would be a great way to use up scraps, il'll add it to the list!
I love your trees, very cute.
The trees look great, a great activity to do with the kids!! Abbey's new outfit is gorgeous, definately not too matchy!! I so badly want a gocco.....
